reblogging Guy Watson about meat (not a polemic)

I’ve been laughably absent from this blog, which is not to say that I don’t have a stack of things I plan to write about (mostly dance activities/events). In the meantime, this is some writing from Guy Watson, who runs the Riverford farm in Devon. Riverford (and associated farms) deliver vegetables et al to the door every Wednesday … the quality is fantastic, the price is spot on, and their commitment to considering the where, how and why of their farming is superb. Lil and I have eaten in their restaurant/kitchen a couple of times, and it’s a great place for a special night out, or just a chance to share your table with friends (and others you might not know so well). If you happen to live in the UK, then Riverford takes some beating. www.riverford.co.uk.

Here’s the article, which explains Riverford’s stance on the production and sale of meat: http://www.riverford.co.uk/news/index.php?newsid=421

Up next protecting borders at Christmas time dog ramp I’d like one of these, and then I could get a dog.
